Haffjardara is off to a great start to the new season.Since opening in the afternoon of last Wedensday 23 salmon have been landed on four daily rods, all of which are fishing only a few hours a day. All except three are mws‘s and anglers on location feel that they are better fed and bred than the past few years.
„They are all great looking, many of them 4 to 5 kilos and the biggest an estimated 7,5 kilos. There weren‘t all that many at the very start although we did catch some fish, but recently the runs have been hotting up and it is obvious that things are starting to come together,“ Einar Sigfússon told us today. Einar is one of the owners and has been hosting the starting party this year.
The Haffjardara had an unpredecented record season last year and this start is better than then. What that means exactly we cannot of course say at the moment, although all will agree that the signs are good.
