Home for Salmon screening next month

The NASF will be screening a new film, “Home for Salmon” at the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in Piccadilly, London next February the 18th. The film is in aid of the North Atlantic Salmon Fund (NASF). NASF supporters from around the world are invited to the premiere.

According to Orri Vigfússon, chairman of the NASF, tickets will be allotted in January on a first come first serve basis, so he is letting it be known that interested parties should not wait to long before letting their interest be known. Peter Power produced the film which is a ten year study of fly fishing on the Kola Penins
Peter Power announces the premiere: „A stunning celebration“ of over ten years of conservation work and fishing within the Atlantic Salmon Reserve on Russia's Kola Peninsula, according to a news release from the NASF. Also in the release: „Most importantly the film illustrates a determined inland conservation project that demonstrates remarkable results and raises confidence in the future prospects for the "King of Fish" the Atlantic Salmon. It suggests man's duty to maintain his surroundings in pristine condition particularly the wilderness and the protection of all the flora and fauna within it.“ The event will take place on Thursday, 18th February 2010 at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 195 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LN, more info on http://www.bafta.org/
