Eldvatn, the south coast sea trout river, has been producing well so far. Lightly fished over the spring period, it is looking more and more like a viable option for the springfishing minded fly fishermen.
Speaking of the spring season, we recently obtained last years statistics for Eldvatn, the sea trout river, one of the „openees“ pencilled in for the first day of April. Pretty good statistics at that!
Eldvatn started off well. It was opened on the first of April and this is the first time it is fished during the early spring retreating run so it has been monitored curiously. And what a great start! The first group had 18 sea trout landed over the first day and a half. They also hooked and lost at least as many.
