2010 Brei

Breiddalsa was opened up for fishing at the turn of the month and despite heavy rain causing a flooding, there were several salmon hooked and landed, so everybody is happy out there in the east!

 Great fish from day one.

The outfitter Throstur Ellidason told us that two grilse had been caught on the first morning, both hooked and landed on the Tinna tributary. A third was also landed and then early in the afternoon a fourth, a fine mws. By then the rain was coming down like there was to be no tomorrow and the wind was winding up as well, those who were prepared to face the rain, were blown off their feet so the first day had a premature end. It took all of 24 hours for the rain to stop and the floodwater to simmer down. By then the fishing picked up again and has been good according to the early state of the season since then.
