Grimsa has been doing well so far and the runs have been strong. Perhaps not on par with last seasons record breaking ongoings but very good nevertheless. While Grimsa is gifted with more consistent water levels than most other rivers, the recent bout of rain sparked better fishing.

Grimsa is up to some 800 recorded fish so far which is an excellent total. Grimsa is a „later“ river than the other rivers in Borgarfjordur and usually finishes more strongly. The rain during the week was never heavy in the region but it did lift the water levels a bit, added more oxygen to the water and the overcast weather along with the blowing wind aided the anglers. Most of the rods did very well and one rod actually landed 17 in a single morning.
