Grimsa still has strong runs

Grimsa is doing quite nicely although last years reckord is not in danger of being overturned. The river has registered some one thousand salmon and with a month to go the total is destined to be a very acceptable, probably even very good, although the autumn conditions will have their say.
As said, about a thousand salmon are now in the Grimsa catch book and the fishing has been going nicely. Recent spells of rain following the long draughts have zipped things up although Grimsa is one of the few rivers in the region that is seldom badly affected by the falling levels. Still, the week-in – week-out sunny hot weather does of course affect Grimsa if the water levels do not, so the change was very welcome indeed. There are still good runs entering Grimsa while they have mostly fallen away on the neighbouring rivers as is expected at this late stage of the season. But there are a lot of salmon around so the improving conditions have added up to better fishing recently
