Hofsa: Good solid season

A big one from Hofsa, but not as big as it looks! This is a 94 cm cock fish, talk about profiles!
Hofsa‘s season finished recently and the river had a good solid total, a handfull of salmon more than last season. There were grilse lacking this year as was the case last year, but the size of the mws runs made up for it.
The Hofsa total stood at 1.143 salmon as the season came to a close. Last years total was 1.130 so we are talking in terms of 13 more fish this year than last year. All improvements are welcome in these parts! Just like last year the average weight of the Hofsa salmon is great, being probably very close to ten pounds. At the rate the mws‘s are doing it will be interesting to see the rivers total the next time the grilse runs turn out strong and healthy.
