Hofsa outfitter steps down

The Hofsa river will be changing hands in mid season in a highly unusual twist of events. The outfitter over the last eleven years will release the river into the hands of its owners on August the 19th. At the moment it is not clear who will be managing the river in the long run.
This turn of events came to the fore in the week just ending. The outfitter, the Hofsa Angling Club sent a press release, stating that it would have loved to continue managing the river, however a strong desire to do it themselves had eminated form the farmers and as a result no progress was made at negotiations for furthering the existing deal. As it stood, the Hofsa Angling Club had decided not to stand in the way of the owners and stood down as of August 19th. The farmers will themselves manage the river for the remiander of the season but reports are rife that they are sounding out other experienced outfitters. We will keep you posted as soon as anything worth reporting turns up.
