Recently the big Laxa in Adaldalur had registered 700 salmon which is a better total than at the same point last season. 200 of those were caught on the Nes beats that we represent on this web. Both beats have had their fair share of overweight salmon and this river is beyond doubt Icelands best „big fish river“

This is not a quantity beat, the river is very big and asks many questions of its anglers. The average weight of the so far 200 or so salmon is awesome as there as still very few grilse. Eight so far have been 20 pounds or more and many ranging from 12 pounds and upto to the 20 pound mark. Almost everyday, somewhere an angler or a few are living their dramatic salmon dreams on the Nes beats, either hooking and landing mosters or at least hooking them and loosing following umforgettable struggles.
