Fishing in Reykjadalsa in Reykjadal, along with Eyvindarlaekur, was truly excellent this season, 2008. While we do not have the final formal statistic yet, we can reveal that the salmon total was somewhere in between 200 and 300 which is the best total for quite some years. It is difficult to put a thumb on the brown trout number as much of the spring fishing is never accounted for on in the fishing logs. But estimates to the best of knowlage is somewhere close to 2.000 brown trout. Salmon ranged to 18 pounds with good numbers of mws‘s in with the grilse, while trout weighed up to 5 to 6 pounds at best though  the vast majority was in the 1 to 3 pound area.
