Glufura up north has had a slow start but there are fish running. Luck however has eluded the anglers so far and one day two big ones actually broke off.

Gljufura up north is a modest two rod self catering river and a very popular one at that as it has much to offer. However it has had a slow start. The season started on the 1rst of July and there were no takers. The next day two were hooked but broke off. Since then no recorded salmon have been put forward, although the fish ladder under the main road bridge had 14 entries yesterday. So there are some salmon running the river despite the opening fishless days and it would appear to be only a matter of time before the first fish are caught on the river.
