Hrúta produced well in 2008 - 4.11.2008 News

Hrúta’s season was marred by a mid season draught that pulled the water levels down and made fishing hard for a while. However the fish entered earlier than in 2007 so anglers were never covering dead water. Soon though it rained and the fishing picked up. The rivers total for 2008 was a very respectable 402 salmon compared to 431 in 2007. To put this into a better perspective, the ten year average for the river is 298 so while there were no records broken, the river was still well over the ten year average. Speaking of records, Hrúta’s record stands at 631 salmon in 2005.
