Skoga: Good solid season so far

Skoga will not equal its record catch from last year but the fishing is good nevertheless and improving as the season wears on, according to Asgeir Asmundsson, the Skoga-outfitter. Recently the two day groups have been catching from 20 to 44 salmon each which is nothing to complain about!
„July was our best ever July but the fishing dampened early this month. It was pretty slow for a while and as an example, we recently had 400 fish in the catch book while we had 700 at the same point last year. We had 1.560 salmon last year which in truth was an outrageous record and you hardly expect to see anything like it again. I feel that we will end up with 600 to 700 this year which is in fact escellent. You can‘t always have records and you certainly cannot compare every season with them. We are very happy with the Skoga season and the groups have been catching from 20 to 44 salmon each over two days which is very good. There are plenty of fish and they are still running,“ Asgeir told us.
