Sogid was excellent in 2008

Net buyout has benefitted Sogid greatly. Photo Heimir Óskarsson.
Sogid had its second excellent season in a row and it seems obvious that the net buyouts in the glacial system, led by the Angling Club of Reykjavík, have greatly benefitted Sogid. This season the total catch was some 600 salmon for the beats named, Sydri Bru, Asgardur, Bíidsfell, Alvidra and Thrastarlundur.
Bildsfell topped the list with 190(218) salmon, Asgardur produced 151(100), Alvidra accounted for 132(195), Sydri Bru 70(75) and Thrastarlundur 60-70(estimate as the beat has no lodge and therefore inconsistent catch bookings).
